Strawberry Shortcake

I’ve been sharing a lot of my favorite childhood recipes lately, and this is one of them. This recipe comes from my amazing aunt @heidigene! She would bring this cake to my grandma’s house for Sunday dinners growing up and you knew you better grab it fast cause it was gone quick.

Recipe:
Grease a sheet pan and preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cream together:
1 cup butter-softened
2 ¼ cups whole milk
3 eggs
3 t. vanilla
1 ½-2 cups honey
Then add:
3 ¾ cups white flour (or whole wheat for a denser cake)
1 ½ t. salt
4 ½ t. baking powder

Mix well and then bake for 30-40 minutes until barely golden. Let it cool before topping with berries and honey sweetened whipped cream.
